The Pittsburgh Steelers were just 1-4 heading into their Week 6 matchup with the 2-3 Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football. However, they jumped to an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter. That second touchdown was of the rushing variety, thanks to James Conner.

Conner entered the game with just 194 yards and two touchdowns on 58 carries (3.3 yards per carry) this season. A far cry from the big numbers he put up in 2018.

However, he seems to be figuring it out in Week 6. Conner was known for his massive gains and massive games last season, and he could be well on his way to one of those this week.

The 12-yard carry saw him blast past the defensive line and sprint to the end zone, ending with him running through some defenders as he crossed the goal line.

It also gave him a touchdown in a second straight game. This is big news as it could be the mark of a turnaround for Conner.

That's of vital importance to the Steelers. Not only are they 1-4, but they are currently down to their third-string quarterback.

In fact, you could call it an even worse situation than that, as Devlin Hodges entered the year on the practice squad. He was technically the fourth-string quarterback.

If Conner has found his groove again though, the offense can run through him. He proved last year that running through him could be a pretty useful strategy to win a few games.

With it still early, Conner can pile on in this game as well. The night is still young.
