The final days before the elimination games in Las Vegas! It's time to continue our NBA odds series with a Thunder-Warriors prediction and pick.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are (2-1) in Las Vegas and coming off a win against the Sacramento Kings. Tre Mann led the team in scoring with 15 but Keegan Murray scored 29 for the Kings in an absolute phenomenal performance. Seeing Murray and Chet Holmgren go head-to-head is excellent for the future of the NBA. Holmgren only finished with eight points and five rebounds but fouled out after 26 minutes. Expect Holmgren to have a better performance in this game.

The Golden State Warriors are (1-2) so far in this tournament. The Boston Celtics got the best of the Warriors on Tuesday night when they won 103-92. I guess you could say the Celtics got their early NBA Finals revenge. Former UNC Tar Heel Justin Jackson scored 24 for the Celtics in the win and Jonathan Kuminga continued his hot run of success by scoring 29 in the loss off of 50% shooting. Kuminga has had a very nice summer league so far.

Here are the Thunder-Warriors Summer League odds, courtesy of FanDuel.

Why The Thunder Could Cover The Spread

The Thunder can cover this spread if they play team ball like they did last game. Their defense was elite all game long and forced the Kings to 38% shooting. The Thunder shot 45.6% as a team and so that is a huge difference on the defensive end of the floor. With Holmgren blocking the paint, it's very hard for these young players to score besides the likes of Keegan Murray. Holmgren will be in a similar spot again today as he has to defend Kuminga, who is on a tear right now.

Terrence Mann is another name that leads this Thunder team. He led the team in scoring against the Kings after going (6-11) from the floor and finishing with six rebounds and seven assists. That is a fantastic Summer League game and one that will have the coaches noticing. Mann was likely going to make the final roster once again, but with his play, he's putting himself in a conversation to be a starter for this squad come Fall.

Why The Warriors Could Cover The Spread

Kuminga has been the star for this team and it still hasn't resulted in more than one win. The Warriors' defense did not exist in the loss to the Celtics as four starters scored over 18 points. The Celtics starters played a majority of the game and still found ways to give the Warriors fits all night long. Golden State did a great job of getting back into the game after starting the second quarter down 38-18. If the Dubs can get to a quicker pace and not go down as much early in the game, then they should be able to cover this spread tonight.

The Warriors come in as the underdog and that is the right call after the three games we have seen so far in Vegas. If their defense improves they will be in this game. However, they need James Wiseman to make a difference tonight if he does get some more minutes. He scored six points in 21 minutes against Boston. Mac McClung is now playing for this Warriors summer league squad and he had an off night as well. Look for those two to help Kuminga try and get back to .500.

Final Thunder-Warriors Prediction & Pick

I like the Thunder to keep their success going and to cover this spread against the Warriors tonight.

Final Thunder-Warriors Prediction & Pick: Thunder -1.5 (+102)
