The Phoenix Suns, like most teams in the NBA, are relying on a bunch of new players to get through this season. A COVID-19 outbreak has teams scrambling for talent to make sure that they hit the eight-player threshold required to play. That means a bunch of players getting signed to 10-day contracts via the new hardship exception rules.

Amidst this chaos, Chris Haynes of Yahoo! Sports told an incredible story about Paul and one of his teammates. In the middle of a Suns away game against the Boston Celtics, some fans reportedly heckled Emanuel Terry, a 10-day signee of Phoenix. CP3, hearing this heckler, then proceeded to tell off the fan, defending Terry in the process:

That's an incredible gesture from Paul, who has long been regarded as one of the better team leaders in the NBA. The Suns star also reiterated that guys like Terry and the other 10-day contract signees are who's keeping the Suns rolling despite the turmoil. It's just a classy act from someone considered to be one of the classiest guys in the league.

This story also ends on a positive note for Terry. The new Suns player told Haynes he heckler messaged him on Twitter after the game and apologized for his actions. Heckling is not a good thing, obviously, but good on that Celtics fan for recognizing his mistake and doing something about it.

The Suns are having an incredible follow-up season after their Finals loss to Milwaukee last season. They're at the top of the league right now at 30-8, and a deep postseason run is all but guaranteed for this team. Considering the turmoil this team faced earlier this season, it's impressive that they're in this position.
