Much has been made about the NBA's compressed schedule this season and how it has been one of the primary reasons behind the multitude of injuries that has mired the playoffs. One of the biggest critics has been LeBron James, but apparently, Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul has a contradicting view to that of his buddy.

LeBron blasted the league for not listening to him at the start of the season, saying that he “knew exactly what would happen” with regards to the injury risk brought about by the compressed schedule. For his part, however, CP3 is having none of that:

“Injuries are always unfortunate. You hate to have them. But just like when we went to the bubble, everything was discussed as far as the players and the full body of players,” Paul said following practice on Monday, via Mark Medina of USA TODAY. “Everything that's good for this guy and that guy might not be the same for that guy. But everything has always been a conversation, and it's going to continue to be that way. So if people don't like it, then you know everybody has the same opportunity to be a part of all these conversations.”

Did the Suns Point God just take a jab at LeBron with his statement here? He did not drop any names, but as previously noted, LeBron has been one of the most outspoken critics when it comes to this polarizing issue. Let's not forget that Chris Paul is the president of the NBPA, and as he specified above, all these issues were discussed with the league even before the season started.

For what it's worth, the Suns have been relatively injury-free throughout their amazing playoff run. This is, of course, compared to the myriad of injuries other teams have had to deal with. Paul himself had to sit out a couple of weeks in between the second and third rounds of the postseason but that was after testing positive for COVID-19 and not because of an actual injury.
