Chris Paul has a reputation for being unapologetically blunt. The Phoenix Suns point guard speaks what's on his mind, which may rub some people the wrong way but it's simply a part of his edge as a competitor. One fan got a taste of that side of CP3 – albeit in a rather innocently funny way.
This young Suns fan secured a selfie with Chris Paul, who obliged him with a peace sign and a smile. But the kid, who likely wasn't older than ten, drew a hilarious response from CP3 when he vocalized how he was an ‘Day 1' fan:
“I've been a fan since Day 1,” said the kid.
“Since Day 1? You wasn't born on my Day 1,” said Chris Paul which elicited laughs from those filming the adorable interaction.

While the youngster was likely just sharing how he's been a Chris Paul fan his whole life, it's definitely true that he didn't reach CP3's Day 1 given that the star was drafted all the way back in 2005.
The kid looks nowhere near ready to get his driver's license or order a beer during his next Suns game.
Still, he'd probably take being jokingly called out by Chris Paul in what turned out to be a viral moment that garnered him his 15 seconds of internet fame. That's certainly worth a lot more than the cookie cutter interactions most fans get from players when they encounter them in most public situations.
He may not have reached Chris Paul's actual Day 1, but this moment likely secures his fandom until the point guard's last day in the league and beyond.
