Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker underwent hand surgery on Monday morning, and people with way too much time on their hands are already coming up with conspiracy theories about how he injured himself. Booker took to Instagram to shoot down a few of the theories.

The two crackpot theories Booker mentions are that he was riding a unicycle and that he fell off a table:

The unicycle theory was based off an Instagram story Booker posted of himself riding what looked like a unicycle … just before news broke of his surgery. A possibly compelling theory, but this still seems far-fetched. Fans really need the season to start.

Training camp begins in fewer than two weeks and the preseason begins on Sept. 28. The regular season tips off on Oct. 16 and the Suns will play their first game on Oct. 17. Clearly, Suns fans need the offseason to end.

Booker could miss the first few games of the season as he recovers from hand surgery. He's entering a pivotal season in his career as he's fresh off a brand new contract extension. The former 13th overall pick in the 2015 draft signed a five-year, $158 million maximum extension to keep him in Phoenix through 2024.

This injury is a slight bump in the road, but the Suns are hoping that Booker can lead them back to relevance. First overall pick in the 2018 draft Deandre Ayton looks like a promising young big man. Booker is already a proven scorer who looks poised to compete for All-Star selections and All-NBA selections for the foreseeable future.

Phoenix fans should really focus on the future and stop spending their time cooking up conspiracy theories about their star player.
