Devin Booker was feeling those same wavelengths on Wednesday night, with 30 points at halftime against the Washington Wizards after dropping a 59-point gem in a loss to the Utah Jazz. The lane was open, the shot was wet, and no matter who guarded the Phoenix Suns shooting guard, it didn't bode well for him.

Having buried his last basket of the half with the score tied 59-59, he turned to his brother on the sidelines and proclaimed: “I'm going for 50.”

Little did Booker know the cameras of FOX Sports Arizona caught him saying just that, expecting their phenom to live up to his word:

“Wow,” said Booker when learning cameras captured that brotherly moment, according to Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic. “At least I got it. I just said it to him and I turned around. I'm glad i got it. It would've looked bad if I didn't.”

Booker would deliver exactly that, managing an even 50 points before Thomas Bryant scored an and-1 layup to give the Wizards a 124-121 win:

“You just feel it sometimes,” Booker said. “Another saying I say is real hoopers know. You just know sometimes you're in rhythm.”

Booker was a sharp 19-of-29 from the field and 9-of-10 from the foul line, adding 10 rebounds and four assists in the contest. Having become the youngest NBA player to post back-to-back 50-point games, Booker has elevated his scoring average to 26.5 points per game, which is good for ninth-best in the league.
