The Phoenix Suns are 20-4, tied with the Golden State Warriors for the best record in the NBA. Understandably, Suns players are in good spirits after such a hot start. Suns center JaVale McGee was asked about what it's like being in Phoenix and had a hilarious response about why he thinks it's better than being with the Denver Nuggets or Cleveland Cavaliers.

“The weather is amazing. Going outside in the middle of winter and just relaxing is an amazing thing. Especially coming from Cleveland and Denver… This ain't winter. This is winter with cactuses. You ever had snow to your waist? It's a different world. I'm 7-foot.”

Suns center JaVale McGee is absolutely right. That must be an amazing feeling going outside to do shopping for the holidays in Phoenix and stepping into sunshine and 70-degree weather. Or, as McGee so aptly put it, winter with cactuses.

It certainly beats what McGee had to deal with in prior NBA stints with the Nuggets and Cavs, where he speaks in great detail about the winters those areas had to offer.

That is some serious snow to reach up to the 7-foot McGee's waist. That really is a different world, especially compared to Phoenix. And it's not hard to believe given the wintry reputations of such areas where the Nuggets and Cavs play.

Residents of Denver and Cleveland probably looked out their windows thinking they were seeing the abominable snowman only to sigh in relief at the sight of McGee trudging through the snow.

Now, McGee gets to walk through the sunny desert instead of the harsh winter climates of Denver and Cleveland. Oh, and he also gets to suit up for one of the best teams in the NBA in the Suns.
