LeBron James had been largely silent about the playoff success of his longtime friend Chris Paul ever since his Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated by the Phoenix Suns. But King James had to give it up for his friend as he inches one step closer to his first NBA title.

There was some buzz on the fact that LeBron James was conspicuously silent on his buddy CP3 as he led the Suns to become the team to make it out of the crowded Western Conference. But James has now shown his support for Chris Paul after the Suns took the first game of the NBA Finals.

Chris Paul was a maestro on the biggest stage, finishing with 32 points and nine assists while making 12 of his 19 attempts from the field. You could just feel that he has been waiting for this moment for his entire 16-year career thus far.

Though the Suns have a 1-0 series lead, it's still far from over. James of all people would know exactly how hard it is to win a championship ring, as he has won just four of the 10 NBA Finals he has played in throughout his Hall of Fame career.
