In line with the recent developments involving Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker and his hamstring injury, the team has been presented with quite a problematic issue at the point guard position. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Suns' front office has even looked in the direction of Santa Cruz Warriors guard Darius Morris.

Booker re-aggravated his left hamstring injury Sunday as Phoenix faced the Los Angeles Lakers. This was the exact same issue that caused the 22-year-old to miss three games earlier in the season, and it appears the Suns may have rushed his return a bit.

Booker is currently without a timetable to return, and given how the Suns do not have any intentions of being competitive this season given their 4-19 record, they will likely be very cautious with their cornerstone star this time around. The team has not even committed to a potential return date for Booker, which means that this is going to be lengthy absence for the 6-foot-6 guard.

The Suns will need to try and somehow fill the void left by Booker. At the moment, the only point guards on the squad are rookies Elie Okobo and De'Anthony Melton, and while there is promise there, they will still need all the help he can get.

According to Woj, the Suns are looking at a number of players, but he has singled out 27-year-old guard Darius Morris as a potential signing to address the team's immediate need. The 6-foot-4 guard has been outstanding in the G League this season, averaging 19.5 points (on 41.2 percent shooting), 2.0 3-pointers, 3.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists, and 0.5 steals in 33.3 minutes of action. Morris could fit right in with the Suns, and he might just be the man they're looking for right now.
