The Phoenix Suns will be prioritizing D'Angelo Russell in free agency, but if they fail to lure him, then they might target Boston Celtics guard Terry Rozier.

Boston will reportedly renounce their qualifying offer on Rozier once they sign Kemba Walker, which will make the 25-year-old guard an unrestricted free agent. While the Suns are still focused on landing Russell, they could shift their focus on Rozier if they don't get D'Lo.

For what it's worth, the Nets are also expected to renounce Russell's qualifying offer upon completing their rumored deal with Kyrie Irving.

The Suns have been making plenty of moves this offseason. Their most significant change yet was the hiring of Monty Williams who also had the opportunity of forming his own coaching staff.

Though Phoenix was the second-worst team in the league last year, they still have a promising young core composed of Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton and Kelly Oubre Jr.

Russell will undoubtedly fit it with the Suns' core. However, he has garnered a league-wide interest, with the Los Angeles Lakers in strong contention to bring him back to Tinseltown.

Rozier is also the subject of interest from other teams. The Hornets and Knicks — both in need of a reliable point guard — are allegedly considering signing him.
