Phoenix Suns swingman Kelly Oubre Jr. made sure the New Orleans Pelicans did not have one last run in them, as he emphatically rejected Lonzo Ball's breakaway dunk attempt in overtime of their game at the Smoothie King Center on Thursday.

With the Suns up 135-129 with 1:15 left in the extra period, Ball thought he could trim the lead to four as he found himself ahead of everyone on the break. He tried to finish strong with a two-handed jam but Oubre used his length to catch Ball mid-air with perfect chasedown block.

The basketball ricocheted off the board before being retrieved by Oubre's teammate Devin Booker. Phoenix went on to win 139-132, improving their record to 10-11 for eighth place in the Western Conference. Oubre finished the game with 14 points and 15 rebounds while playing a whopping 47 minutes.

Ball also had his best game as a Pelican, tallying 20 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds.
