The Tampa Bay Buccaneers season ended two games earlier than they had hoped. Instead of defending their title of Super Bowl Champions, they fell to the new champions in the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.

The relatively quick postseason tournament exit and Tom Brady's retirement gives the Buccaneers a lot to think about this offseason. There are a lot of missing pieces and aging pieces moving forward that Tampa Bay has to keep in mind to reconstruct a successful, Super Bowl contending team for the 2022-2023 season.

Here are my top four boldest predictions for the Buccaneers this offseason.

Buccaneers Offseason Predictions

4. Bruce Arians tries to build the next super team

Bruce Arians is one of those pieces in Tampa Bay that is climbing up the aging latter. At 69-years-old, he is right up there in age with Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks and Bill Belichick of the New England Patriots. Just last year, Arians became the oldest head coach to ever win a Super Bowl.

Despite his age, expect Arians to continue his career in Tampa Bay. He has a lot of reasons to retire, including Tom Brady's retirement and the fact that he just won a Super Bowl. However, Arians sees more reasons to stay with the Buccaneers.

Arians said recently that he is “having a good time” coaching in the NFL, and he has the “Why not coach?” mindset. He is optimistic about the future of the franchise and hinted at “new guys coming in.”

3. Rob Gronkowski continues his run in Tampa Bay

It's no secret that the combination of Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski was one of the most dominant, most intimidating duos in NFL history. Two won four Super Bowl Championships together on two different teams. Despite Brady's retirement, expect Gronkowski to stay with the Buccaneers for at least another year.

Gronk is 32 years old and shows no sign of slowing down. Think about it, Brady played until he was 44 years old. If Gronk continues to stay strong with the TB12 method, he could be on the same path.

2. Buccaneers use their first-round pick on defense

The Buccaneers have a lot of young talent on offense. Meanwhile, their defensive line, although talented, is aging quickly. Tampa Bay has a late first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, so it's unlikely that they will find Brady's replacement there. Expect the Buccaneers to choose a defensive lineman as the 27th overall pick this offseason.

Many news outlets predict that the Buccaneers will go this route, including ESPN. CBS Sports has Tampa Bay selecting Logan Hall, a defensive lineman from the University of Houston. In the mock draft, CBS Sports notes that he could be selected before the Buccaneers have the opportunity to pick him up, given his talent as a hybrid player and his potential in the NFL.

1. Buccaneers find Brady's replacement within the league

Finally, the Buccaneers need to find a replacement for the GOAT. They aren't going to find him in the draft, and plenty of quality candidates are floating around the league.

Expect the Buccaneers to make strong moves for both Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson. However, they will likely end up with Wilson, as they are the favorite to land him if he chooses to leave Seattle, according to FanNation.
