Team USA will face Canada in their final exhibition game before heading to China for the FIBA World Cup, and head coach Gregg Popovich acknowledges that the Canadians won't give them an easy time.

In an interview with FOX Sports Australia, coach Pop said that speed and ball movement are the key strengths of Canada, adding that being coached by Nick Nurse has definitely helped the team improve.

“They’re a really fast team. More than anything, they’re fast. Nick does a good job with them. They pass the ball, they move, they’re hard to keep up with. They’ll be a another really good test for us, for sure,” Popovich explained.

Team USA is coming off a stunning loss against Australia, so they would definitely want to end their exhibition games on a good note. However, chemistry remains one of their biggest issues heading into the match-up with Canada.

The FIBA World Cup will begin on August 31 and will conclude on September 15. Team USA is aiming to defend their title and win the gold medal despite losing some of their best players to a variety of reasons. USA Basketball is still optimistic that they can get the job done, although they also understand that it is not going to be an easy road to the title.

As for Nick Nurse and the Canadians, they would like to keep the momentum going after the Toronto Raptors won the NBA championship last season. They are also hopeful that behind Nurse, they can triumph in the basketball world championship.
