All basketball and sports fans can unite in supporting Craig Sager‘s fight against cancer.

Sager has demonstrated an incredible amount of courage this past year fighting his disease while at the same time working as hard as ever at his job for TNT as a sideline reporter. Despite having to travel to Houston constantly for treatment, Sager still managed to make it out to cover every playoff game he was assigned. ESPN even honored Sager by hiring him to cover the NBA Finals for the first time in his career, despite Sager being an employee of a rival network.

Sager was also originally scheduled to help cover the Olympics in Rio for NBC, which is set to begin later this week, but Sager is now unable to make the trip because he requires new treatment.

Members of Team USA basketball will surely miss Sager's presence and they were able to share a moment with him in Houston this week before they head off to Rio.

It was a very touching moment for Sager and the players. Sager is respected as much as anyone in the business and the players are all very much aware of the fight he's been going through.

The Olympics won't be the same without him.
