It seems like Bungie can't contain the power of its most bitter rival, the Telesto fusion rifle. Telesto has been plaguing Destiny 2 with numerous bugs and unintended glitches since the release of this exotic fusion rifle. This latest bug now has Telesto's sticky bolts blocking and reflecting projectiles when the bolts stuck to doorways… including projectile-based Super abilities.

The speculation with regards to this latest bug blames Bungie's changes to Telesto's bolts, no longer attaching to Guardians while simultaneously being unable to be shot and destroyed. The bolts now ricochet any projectile that comes into contact with them, including Guardian Supers.

The hilarious thing about this fiasco is that this new bug comes on the tail of a Destiny 2 hotfix aimed specifically at fixing some previously known bugs with the Telesto. At this point in Season of the Lost, Telesto has been disabled in multiple game modes for what seems like half the season, owing to a multitude of varied Telesto bugs that have annoyed the Guardians of Destiny 2.

From making Guardians invincible to granting Guardians infinite Super energy, Telesto has been a thorn in Bungie's side for years. It does seem like thanks to Season of the Lost‘s focus on fusion rifles, Telesto has been enjoying a lot of time in the buggy limelight, and not a lot of time in the actual gameplay of Destiny 2. Meanwhile, other, well-behaved exotic fusion rifles have been taking the spotlight in Season of the Lost, like the One Thousand Voices and Sleeper Simulant.

This is fine for the most part, as Telesto remains disabled in most Destiny 2 activities, but it does make the player base wonder if Telesto will ever actually be fixed. For now, the exotic fusion rifle will keep Bungie on their toes, constantly trying to fix a problem they created themselves.
