The legal battle of Houston Texans star Deshaun Watson is getting messier by the day. New reports have surfaced with regards to the court case, and right now, the opposing camps have resorted to some grave allegations against the other.

Right now, both Watson's camp and the complainants are accusing the other of destroying key pieces of evidence related to the case.

According to Ivory Hecker of FOX 26, Watson's Attorney Rusty Hardin has claimed that “some of the plaintiffs have been destroying and altering evidence.” Watson's lawyer also fears that the tampering might continue unless the court sends out an order to preserve the evidence. On the contrary, Attorney Tony Buzbee has denied any and all allegations from Hardin, saying that the accusations from Watson's camp are completely false. Buzbee even went on to say that he has come to learn that Watson himself has been unsending Instagram messages to some of his accusers (h/t Mike Florio of NBC Sports).

Watson has always maintained a clean image throughout his career, so these recent allegations are nothing short of scandalous. There have reportedly been 22 plaintiffs that have filed complaints against Watson all pertaining to the Texans quarterback's alleged sexual misconduct.

Nike has already cut ties with Watson in light of his recent debacle as they try to distance their brand from this mess. It now remains to be seen what type of impact his legal issues will have in the career of the Texans star.
