Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills is never afraid to speak his mind — whether the issue at hand is controversial or not. In this case, controversial may be an understatement as the veteran NFL pass-catcher is now voicing his opinion in regards to the potential new collective bargaining agreement while joining many players on doing so.

“Players, we got to vote no on this deal. I know that younger players and guys that haven’t signed big deals are a little nervous about a work stoppage, but we’ve got a fund put together just in case we were to have a work stoppage,” Stills recently said, via a video uploaded to his official Twitter account. “We can work on other ways of getting loans or getting money set aside so that we can negotiate a deal that is player friendly.”

Although players certainly don't want to encounter a work stoppage or strike this offseason, many are openly opposing the possibility of this version of a collective bargaining agreement.

“When we have power and we have leverage by saying that we won’t play for a season or say that we have enough money to sit out for a full season, we can bring the owners to the table and negotiate a deal that’s friendly for us,” Stills added. “It’s going to take some work. It’s not going to be easy.”

Prior to suiting up for the Texans, Stills began his NFL playing career as a member of the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints.
