Deshaun Watson's days with the Houston Texans are all but over. Now that he won't face criminal charges in his sexual assault case, opposing teams are lining up to trade for him. Two NFC South rivals — the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers — are among the teams making the biggest pushes for Watson.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, both the Saints and Panthers have submitted offers and will meet with the Texans quarterback soon. The team is expected to cooperate with his wish to be traded and allow him to seek opportunities.
The #Saints and #Panthers have made offers for #Texans QB Deshaun Watson and are likely to meet with him soon, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. Other teams also are involved. Watson has a no-trade clause and wants to meet with teams before formally waiving it anywhere.

The 26-year-old Watson has made three Pro Bowls with the Texans and led the league in passing yards and yards per completion in 2020, the last season he played. Both the Saints and Panthers have a huge need at the quarterback spot and are willing to accept the immense baggage that Watson brings.
New Orleans saw solid play from Jameis Winston, but he tore his ACL in Week 8, which forced him to miss the rest of the season. Trevor Siemian and Taysom Hill were poor replacements.
Carolina started the year with Sam Darnold, who continued to be underwhelming and was benched for P.J. Walker before he suffered a shoulder injury. The team brought Cam Newton back but he is not the player he once was. The Panthers are deploying an “aggressive” offer to Houston in order to get him.
The Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns are among other teams looking to pursue Watson. The Texans could deal away their former franchise star any day now.
