Sam Ehlinger, the dual-threat quarterback of the Texas Longhorns, came close to defeating the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, losing the game by the score of 53-45.

After a hard-fought battle from both teams, Oklahoma fans were uttering profanity at Ehlinger as he walked off of the field.

Sam Ehlinger performed well for Texas Longhorns in Saturday's highly anticipated game against Oklahoma, especially with his legs. The athletic quarterback finished with 287 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, and two interceptions on the day.

Of course, his second interception came at an inopportune time, with the Sooner picking him off to end the game in the fourth overtime sequence. He also led Texas with 112 rushing yards and a personal-best four rushing touchdowns in the heartbreaking loss.

Regardless of team affiliation, vocally hurling expletives at a player is a bad way to represent your program and is uncalled for. At the least, Ehlinger seemed to take the loss on the chin and drowned out the words that were being shouted in his direction.
