The Chicago Bulls have been one of the best teams in the NBA this season, and it's not only due to DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine's performances. Both of these players have been outstanding this season, and there is a case to be made that they can both be top ten in the MVP voting, as well as the starting guards in the All-Star Game.

Despite the fact that they are both playing at the highest level an NBA player can play at, the Bulls' success is also due to a number of unsung heroes on the team who just go out and play basketball alongside these two superstars and assist them in ways they could never imagine.

Let's take a look at the three unsung heroes of this year's Chicago Bulls team

Bulls Unsung Heroes 2022

3. Colby White

Despite the fact that Colby White doesn't always play as well as many fans would want, he has been a significant reason why this Bulls team has been able to achieve as much success as they have despite some injuries.

There is no doubt that this youngster has the potential to be an excellent scorer in the future, as he has demonstrated throughout his early career that when given the chance to score the basketball, he generally does it. Again, there are nights when he is inefficient, but that has improved dramatically this season, as he is shooting 44 from the field and 37% from beyond the arc.

He's just one of those guys that can help the Bulls spread the floor offensively, and he brings a different scoring attitude to the team. Because of their recent injuries, he has moved into a starting role at times, but previous to that, he was a fantastic contributor off the bench who has done everything he can to help this Bulls squad be one of the best in the Eastern Conference.

Coby White is rumored to be moved by the Chicago Bulls at the deadline, according to multiple reports. It would be interesting for the Bulls to decide to trade him, but they must also consider the sort of return they may expect for a player as young as him and with his abilities. This might be a decision that they regret in ten years, but it could be the smartest move for this franchise right now if they believe they have a chance to win a championship this season.

2. Ayo Dosunmu

Coming out of college, there were a lot of concerns about this kid's game, and a lot of them didn't make sense since he excelled at the collegiate level.

Because of his size, there were some concerns about whether he could actually transition what he achieved in college to the NBA. All of those doubts should be dispelled by now since he has been sensational as a rookie and is a strong contender for the all-rookie team. During this year's draft, the Bulls front office did an excellent job of going out and doing their due diligence to find a guy with as much skill as Ayo.

Not only has he been playing excellent basketball this season, but he is also a fan favorite in Chicago, and when he enters the game, he certainly gets the crowd and the team going. He'll almost certainly be able to stay in Chicago for as long as he wants, and it would make sense if the Bulls opt to keep Ayo for the next 15 years. If this is how we see him as a rookie, this is merely the tip of the iceberg in terms of who he will become.

1. Alex Caruso

The Bulls added Alex Caruso this summer, and the front office did a fantastic job by going out and finding someone who just plays basketball the right way. He won't fill a stat sheet by any means, but as we all witnessed when he wasn't on the court due to injury, the Bulls suffered tremendously on both ends of the court without him. He just adds a level of fluidity on the offensive side of the ball that benefits the Bulls' ball movement.

Caruso is a high-level defender, and the Bulls have been known to struggle defensively at times. He's their best defensive player, and he's a big reason why they had such a good start to the season. Despite not being healthy and having arguably their best player, Zach LaVine, out due to injury, the Bulls have looked like one of the top teams in basketball after Caruso returned to the lineup after an extended injury skid.

It's unclear why the Lakers gave up on someone like him, but the Bulls don't have to worry about it because they did an excellent job of going out and getting the ideal player for their team.
