Ubisoft has big plans for their The Division franchise. This includes a new free-to-play stand-alone game, as well as a new mobile game.
The Division is coming to Mobile, more details to be revealed this year
Ubisoft will be focusing a lot more on their The Division franchise. Heck, they even have a planned Netflix live-action movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain. In a recent announcement, Ubisoft shared its plans for the franchise in the coming years. Apart from dropping new content for The Division 2 this year, they also plan to bring the series to mobile.
Article Continues BelowWe don't know much yet about this planned mobile release. Ubisoft just took the opportunity to announce its arrival and promised to make more announcements in the coming months. However, we can infer a couple of information based on recent developments in the company. For one, we know that they are moving their focus from Triple-A games to free-to-play games. This gives us a hint to what kind of game The Division Mobile will be like.
Meanwhile, we also don't know whether or not the mobile game will be a direct port. We hope that it's going to be its entirely new game, just like how games PUBG Mobile and COD Mobile have been. It'll be great to have new people coming into the series through the mobile game. However, we'd still like to have the game be a separate version instead of a direct port.
