He also most recently knocked out Kane Mousah in his last fight looking like a prime Gouti. He will be looking to continue his dominance against a top unbeaten prospect Archie Colgan this Friday in Paris.
Archie Colgan (9-0) is an unbeaten prospect that has won all nine of his professional bouts most recently coming off a dominant decision victory against Pieter Buist in his last fight. Colgan will be putting his unbeaten record on the line when he takes on the always tough Thibault Gouti in his 10th professional fight this Friday in Paris.

Why Thibault Gouti Will Win
Thibault Gouti was a six-fight UFC veteran going 1-5 with the promotion before ultimately getting released back in 2018. Since his release from the UFC Gouti has gone on to win five out of his next six fights and 2-1 under the Bellator banner. He is now coming off arguably his best win in quite some time knocking out Kane Mousah in the second round at Bellator 296. Gouti will now be looking to extend his winning streak when he takes on surging undefeated prospect Archie Colgan this Friday night in Paris.
Gouti is a powerful kickboxer who does his best way in space where he can utilize his kicks and his powerful hooks to batter his opponents. This will come into play mightily against a high-level grappler like Archie Colgan. While Colgan is no slouch on the feet, he certainly will be the more technical striker at distance which gives Gouti the advantage on the feet. It's going to come down to whether or not Gouti will be able to fend off the takedowns from Colgan and pick him apart on the feet. If he can do that he can continue his winning ways and give Colgan his first professional defeat.
Why Archie Colgan Will Win
Archie Colgan is one of Bellator's top lightweight prospects who's won all nine of his professional bouts with six of them coming inside the distance. Colgan is coming off a dominant decision victory over 24-fight veteran Pieter Buist whom he outworked throughout the fight to a dominant victory. Now, Colgan will look to extend his unbeaten streak to 10 when he takes on France's Thibault Gouti this Friday night.
Colgan is a former D-1 wrestler and it shows in his style of fighting. His dominant wrestling and grappling is shown throughout the majority of his fights unless he sparks his opponent on the feet as he did against Justin Montalvo. In this fight against Gouti, it would be best to utilize that wrestling background to his advantage as Gouti will be sure to have the advantage in the stand-up. Once Gouti is grounded that is where Colgan can do his best work with his vicious ground-and-pound where he can wear him out to either a TKO stoppage or a submission victory.

This should be an exciting striker vs. grappler matchup. Gouti while is a well-rounded fighter with 13 wins inside the distance split between seven KO/TKO and six submissions, will undoubtedly have the bigger advantage if this fight were to stay on the feet. Meanwhile, Colgan whose striking has come a long way during his Bellator career will be at his best when he takes Gouti down at will and punishes him on the mat. Ultimately, Gouti will look to utilize his kicks and his movement to keep him out of the grasp of Colgan while Colgan will look to press forward throwing some heavy strikes until he's able to level change to take Gouti for a ride, and then it's rinse and repeat until Colgan is able to get the finish on the mat or he's outworked throughout the fight for a wide decision victory.
