On Saturday night, Paul George led the Oklahoma City Thunder to a tightly contested win against a Western Conference rival, the Los Angeles Clippers.

Following his team's 110-104 defeat, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers admitted to have no answer for George on the evening, and he even went as far as complementing the 28-year-old as a “great” player.

“He's great,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said, via ESPN. “He's just so long, tough, plays at a great pace. Can't speed him up, really. He knows he's bigger than most of those guys that's guarding him, so when he's shooting the ball like that, he's tough.”

The Clippers simply could not contain George on Saturday, as the five-time All-Star dropped 33 big points against them. The 6-foot-9 forward went 11-of-19 from the field and 6-of-8 from the line, while also adding in five 3-pointers, seven rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block, and zero turnovers in 37 minutes of action.

George has been on a tear for the Thunder of late, eclipsing the 30-point mark in four of the last six games. This includes a season-high 47-point masterpiece against the Brooklyn Nets a couple of weeks ago.

The All-NBA swingman has been picking up the slack for teammate Russell Westbrook, who has recently been in a bit of an offensive funk. Paul George is currently averaging 24.9 points (on 44.3 percent shooting), 3.3 3-pointers, 7.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.1 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 35.1 minutes per contest. Remarkably, these are all career-best marks (except for the field goal percentage) for the nine-year veteran, which has propelled him to the MVP conversation at this point in the season.
