Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Josh Giddey came out with another mind-blowing performance on Monday night as he led OKC to a tightly-contested 127-123 overtime win over the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Giddey amassed another triple-double as he set all sorts of records in what turned out to be a historic evening for him.
There was perhaps no greater honor for Giddey than to be mentioned in the same breath with none other than Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James (h/t ESPN Stats & Info on Twitter):

Giddey is just four 10-assist games away from surpassing LeBron for this particular record and the Thunder youngster does not turn 20 until October next season. With how he's been playing of late, it wouldn't be surprising at all if the 6-foot-8 guard ends up dethroning The King — at least for this specific statistical category.

Giddey finished Monday's win with 28 points on 11-of-22 shooting, to go along with 11 rebounds, 12 assists, a steal, and three triples. This comes after his 11-point, 12-rebound, 10-assist outing against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. To say that the Thunder stud is in the midst of a hot streak would be an understatement.
