Tibor Pleiss was on the Utah Jazz last season where he made his official NBA debut. This offseason, he was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Kendall Marshall. Unfortunately, for Tibor, he was only on the team for a couple of days before he was waived by the team.

Tibor Pleiss is a relatively young center who has great size and could be a nice bench piece for an NBA team. Several teams were interested, but Pleiss ultimately decided to sign with Turkish Club Galatasaray Odeabank.

Two of the NBA teams interested in Pleiss were the Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs are often a team to inquire about these international players and try to develop them into something special. After losing Boban Marjanovic this offseason, they were looking for their next big man and fan favorite.

Unfortunately for the Spurs, and even the Nets, Tibor Pleiss is off the table – and out of the country.
