Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins is the seventh-youngest player in NBA history to score 7,000 career points.

The former No. 1 overall pick accomplished the feat on Wednesday against the Boston Celtics.

Andrew Wiggins entered Wednesday with career averages of 19.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

Wiggins made his NBA debut back in 2014 at 19 years old. No one has ever doubted his talent, as Wiggins can jump out of the gym and score with ease at times. It's his engagement and lack of consistency that Timberwolves fans have an issue with.

After averaging a career-high 23.6 points per game during the 2016-17 season, Andrew Wiggins took a step back last season and put up just 17.7 markers. The addition of Jimmy Butler definitely played a role, as Wiggins got fewer shots on offense.

This season hasn't been kind to Andrew Wiggins either, though. He's averaging a career-low 16.6 points per contest and shooting just 39.7 percent from the floor.

Still, this is a great accomplishment for Wiggins no matter how polarizing of a player he is. Anytime you can put your name next to LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Kobe Bryant, and Tracy McGrady, it's something to appreciate.

Andrew Wiggins signed a lucrative five-year, $147.7 million deal with the Timberwolves in 2017.
