The Minnesota Timberwolves were blown out by the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, with the matchup ending in a 135-117 win in favor of Portland. A bit of a bright spot for the Wolves, however, was the tremendous performance of first overall pick Anthony Edwards, who also produced one of the plays of the night.

Edwards showed off his hops on this play, as he threw the rock down over a couple of Blazers defenders (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

In case you didn't know it before, here's some undeniable proof that Edwards has himself some hops.

The 19-year-old had the best game of his young NBA career on Thursday, finishing with 26 points on 9-of-21 shooting, to go along with three triples, four rebounds, an assist, and two steals in 31 minutes off the bench. Edwards appears to be getting used to life in the NBA, and this recent performance should serve as a testament to this fact.

The Timberwolves are still without Karl-Anthony Towns (wrist) and Josh Okogie (hamstring), which should continue to result in a bump in Edwards' usage in the immediate future. Based on what we've seen so far, the former Georgia standout is more than willing to take full advantage of the opportunities presented to him.
