The Minnesota Timberwolves are seemingly set to make some significant changes to their roster this offseason. President of basketball operations Gersson Rosas has since made it clear that all personnel moves will be built around center Karl-Anthony Towns.

There is plenty of speculation regarding Minnesota's approach to the 2019 NBA Draft and free agency. According to Chris Hine of the Star Tribune, Rosas insists that Towns' skill set will be the primary focus:

“How do we maximize an individual like Karl?” Rosas said in his pre-draft conference. “That’s in all senses of the word. How we play, player wellness, our roster, our philosophies. Because he’s our biggest driver to winning. … It’s going to take a lot of time and effort, but we are going to be a very player-centric place where guys can come in and maximize their talent.”

Rosas' plan is certainly understandable. If there is a silver lining amidst all their recent struggles, it is that they are confident that Towns has established himself as a franchise player. He has made two straight All-Star appearances and an All-NBA team since being taken with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

The onus will now be on the new front office to take advantage of the promise Towns has shown. It is safe to say that the pairing of Andrew Wiggins and Towns did not pan out as Minnesota had initially hoped. As a result, Rosas has made it clear that they are actively seeking out potential bids for a trade.

Meanwhile, Towns has already expressed his interest in the prospect of Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell being made available. At this point, nothing appears to be off the table for the Timberwolves moving forward.
