After spending the last four years with the Memphis Grizzlies, Kyle Anderson has decided to take his talents elsewhere. The 28-year-old will now be leaving Memphis after reportedly agreeing to a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This report comes via NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN:

Kyle Anderson has agreed to a two-year, $18M deal to join the Timberwolves, his agents Thad Foucher and Joe Smith of @wassbasketball tell ESPN.

Anderson lost his starting spot with the Grizzlies last season, and it resulted in a dip in production for the 6-foot-9 forward. In 69 games played last season for Memphis, Anderson averaged 7.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.1 steals in 21.5 minutes per game. He wasn't exactly a star, but there's no denying that he was a key piece for Ja Morant and the Grizzlies and their memorable playoff run last term. He will be missed.

For their part, the Timberwolves get a real stud in Anderson. He brings a lot to the table, and he could emerge as an important part of Minnesota's rotation this coming season.

Anderson started his career with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, and this was where he spent the first four seasons of his career. The former UCLA standout is now entering his ninth year in the NBA.
