Free agent marksman Jason Terry is slated to meet and work out with the Minnesota Timberwolves in the next few days, according to Gery Woelfel of The Racine Journal Times.

The Jet was flown to the Twin Cities and arrived on Sunday, expected to stay for two days after talking with president and head coach Tom Thibodeau.

Terry was reportedly close to inking another one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks after shooting a robust 42.7 percent from deep in a very diminished role within the team, acting more as a mentor for the youth of the team. Milwaukee has another roster spot to fill after waiving Spencer Hawes through the stretch provision, but have yet to make a stab at securing the veteran's services.

Terry played in 74 regular-season games last season, posting 4.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 18.4 minutes per game — making the most of these last few stints of his career.

If luck is by his side, the 18-year veteran could net a deal before his 40th birthday on Friday, joining other elder statesmen like Vince Carter and Manu Ginobili as the third oldest player to secure an NBA contract this offseason.
