Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Jeff Teague has left the team to get his left foot evaluated.

The Timberwolves are in Houston preparing for their Sunday matchup against James Harden and the Houston Rockets.

Teague has missed the previous two games. He's been dealing with a left foot injury all season.

In 42 games this season for the Timberwolves, Teague is averaging 12.1 points, 2.5 rebounds and 8.2 assists per contest. The veteran guard is shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Teague has 11 double-doubles on the season. The Timberwolves are 23-19 when he's in the lineup.

Minnesota is 32-37 on the season. They are in the 10th spot in the Western Conference standings. The team isn't going to make the playoffs this season after making it last year.

It's going to be interesting to see what Teague decides to do this summer. He has a player option worth $19,000,000 for next season. Since Teague has been dealing with injuries all year, he might just pick up the option because he might not be able to get that type of money on the open market.

The Timberwolves are 13-16 under Ryan Saunders, who replaced Tom Thibodeau in January after Thibs was fired.
