Minnesota Timberwolves Twitter was in a tizzy on Thursday morning when it was discovered that star Karl-Anthony Towns had “liked” a post with a simple #FreeKat hashtag.

Towns quickly took to Twitter to claim he was hacked and that he reset his passwords:

This came after a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers dropped the Timberwolves to 3-4 on the young season after a promising 3-1 start. Minnesota allowed 60.3% shooting from the field and a whopping 21 3-pointers for the game, with Paul George going for 32 points and Reggie Jackson pouring in 29.

Towns had a poor game by his standards, going for 18 points on 6-of-16 shooting. He did have 11 rebounds, four steals and three blocks, but it wasn't nearly enough against LA.

Given the Timberwolves' struggles in recent seasons, many are looking at Towns as one of the next stars who may look to ask for a trade if things don't get better. Minnesota came into this season with some optimism even after the shocking dismissal of president Gersson Rosas, thanks in large part to the young core led by KAT.

The 3-1 start had Timberwolves fans buzzing, but these last three losses have brought them back down to earth. While there's still a lot of reasons to be excited about this team, they need to prove they can consistently win games.

Towns has shown no signs of wanting out and is playing with one of his good buddies in D'Angelo Russell, though Russell is currently injured. However, one has to wonder how he'll feel if this season goes south. It's something to monitor.
