Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns addressed the “like” on a #FreeKat tweet that came from his Twitter account. According to Dane Moore, Towns was just as confused as the rest of Timberwolves Twitter when he saw that his account had “liked” the tweet.

The Timberwolves star's confusion began Thursday morning when he woke up to the news from his agent, according to the NBA reporter's tweet. Towns explains that only his agent, his friend Chucky, and KAT himself have access to his Twitter account, and none of them “liked” the tweet. The only explanation he could find is that his account had been hacked.

Towns' response to the situation ensured that there is no bad blood between himself and his current place of employment in Minnesota. He also apologized to Timberwolves fans and even said that he wants to continue his career in Minnesota for years to come:

“Sorry to the Wolves fans…But just know I'm very happy. I know we're on a skid so it came at the worst possible time…Just know I'm very happy here. I'm excited to hopefully build more years here, not just this year,” Towns said.

The poor timing mentioned by Towns comes from the team's three-game losing streak, which has brought their team below .500 at 3-4. KAT and the rest of the Timberwolves look to break this streak Friday night against Western Conference rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers.

As for Towns' Twitter situation, he has since changed the password on his account and “unliked” the tweet.
