The Minnesota Timberwolves were well-represented at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game with shooting guard Jimmy Butler and center Karl-Anthony Towns as members of Team Stephen. Although Butler opted out of participating in this year's event, Towns made up for it with a solid performance of his own.

However, his night was highlighted by the cold shoulder he received from Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson following a made free-throw in the third quarter, via NBA on Youtube:

It is an unwritten rule amongst teammates to slap hands with a player following the first free-throw, regardless of whether or not it goes in. What made the moment so comical was the fact that Thompson had appeared to be doing just that until he suddenly turned back around thus leaving Towns hanging out to dry.

It was so bad that even Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond — who is a member of Team LeBron — had to make sure Towns got some love. However, it is clear that it was all in good fun.

Needless to say, Team Stephen could have used a bit more team chemistry on the night as they ultimately lost a 148-145 nailbiter. However, Towns still managed to make quite the impression in his first All-Star game after finishing as one of his team's top performers. He registered their only double-double, recording 17 points and 10 rebounds in just 18 minutes.

That said, fans are hoping Towns can carry over that confidence into the second half of the 2017-18 NBA season. Furthermore, his Timberwolves teammates should make sure they don't repeat Thompson's mistake in the future.
