Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns got a triple-double in a win over the Brooklyn Nets Monday night, but it was not the traditional one you usually see.

On the positive side, despite the weird triple-double, the Wolves did get the win over the Nets.
For Towns, the triple-double is still something to celebrate. Yes, the turnovers hurt, but he was still a dominant force.
This win comes on the day that the Timberwolves and the Philadelphia Sixers officially announced the Jimmy Butler trade.
If the Wolves can still win without Butler and Towns being dominating and the new guys contributing in winning ways, the Wolves could still fight for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
It will be a storyline to follow on how the Wolves and Towns move on from the Butler saga. The trade of Butler should lift the dark cloud that has been hanging around Town, Andrew Wiggins and the rest of the franchise.
With this win over a very good Nets team, this may give the Wolves the momentum and confidence builder they need after trading their best player on the team.
It may take some time for the newcomers to acclimate themselves, but in the end, they should be helping Towns and the Wolves in a huge way.
