Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns got to be one of the kindest and most generous NBA players today. He showed that once again when it was revealed he donated thousands of dollars in a GoFundMe campaign.

On Thursday, KAT dished one of the biggest off-court assists of his career after he gave $7,500 to help cover the funeral cost of a man named Christopher Victor Romero. He also took it to his Instagram stories to encourage his followers to donate as well, per KOLD.

Karl-Anthony Towns knows the pain of losing someone, as he unfortunately had to deal with a series of tragic losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In April 2020, the mother of the Timberwolves star passed away because of complications brought by the dreaded virus. Then on December of the same year, Towns admitted that he lost six other family members to COVID-19.

KAT has since took it upon himself in spreading awareness about the pandemic and fighting its deadly effects, even donating to Mayo Clinic to help those infected with the virus.

Aside from that though and as proven by his latest gesture, the Timberwolves big man also make sure to assist anyone in need–making the lives of others easier amid the difficult and troubling times.
