Karl-Anthony Towns is back for the Minnesota Timberwolves after the star center missed 13 games due to COVID-19 and the league's health and safety protocols. Unsurprisingly, everybody was excited to see him back and healthy.

Serge Ibaka tapped KAT on the chest as the Timberwolves got ready to take on the Los Angeles Clippers. Towns, for his part, wasted no time making his presence felt in Minnesota with an offensive board and dunk early in the first quarter.

Just a few plays later, Towns took the ball down the other side of the court and added more points to his stat sheet with a big dunk as the Timberwolves jumped out to an early lead.

Karl-Anthony Towns has not played since mid-January and was out with COVID-19 in what has been a rough past year for him. He lost his mother and grandmother due to the virus, as well as five other family members who tested positive. The Timberwolves star has also been vocal in regards to protocols and masks.

Minnesota has missed Towns, as the big man has only suited up for four games prior to Wednesday's contest, so having him back is a huge boost for the team that has lacked star talent since he's been out. D'Angelo Russell has done his best to hold it down in his absence, but the team has struggled without KAT.

Heading to the game against the Clippers, the Timberwolves sit at 6-18 and last place in the Western Conference. However, they should definitely benefit from having their best player back healthy and making contributions.
