The Minnesota Timberwolves had a particular group of persons in mind before and after Tuesday's win over the Sacramento Kings.

Minnesota dedicated its victory to the family of George Floyd, hours after Derek Chauvin–the police officer charged in Floyd's death–was deemed guilty on all three charges.

A few Timberwolves players spoke on the verdict during postgame press conferences, including All-Star center Karl-Anthony Towns.

The 25-year-old, who himself has endured quite a bit of loss dating back to last April, said the outcome of the trial does not change the idea Floyd should still be alive.
