The Minnesota Timberwolves are in Philly for an early-season showdown against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. Prior to their matchup against Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and the rest of the Sixers, the Timberwolves made sure to pay a visit to the “Rocky Steps.”

Led by Karl-Anthony Towns, the Timberwolves raced up the famous landmark. They didn't forget to have the signature “Rocky” track in the background, as Towns carried a speaker while they ran up the stairs.

Of course, they also took some photos next to the famous statue:

Timberwolves fans have to be ecstatic to see their squad bonding like this. This is obviously a great way to build chemistry and camaraderie, especially among a young group like this.

Minnesota is off to a great start so far this 2019-20 season, rattling off three straight wins to begin their campaign. Much of this has to do with the magnificent play of superstar big man Karl-Anthony Towns. They will, however, be tested on Wednesday when they square off against Embiid and the Sixers.

Surely, the Embiid-Towns matchup will be something to look forward to in this one. Embiid has had KAT's number over their past few encounters. But with the way Towns has been playing so far this season, can he finally one-up The Process on Wednesday?

Over three games, Towns has been doing it all for Minnesota with eye-popping numbers of 32.0 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.0 steals, and 2.0 blocks per game. He is also shooting 52.5 percent from the field and 51.7 percent from downtown, while making five triples per contest.

Embiid, on the other hand, led Philadelphia to a close 105-103 victory over the Atlanta Hawks to move to 3-0 on the season as well. The All-NBA center dropped 36 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, and three steals after missing their previous contest against the Detroit Pistons.
