Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley is one of the peskiest defenders in the NBA, and unsurprisingly, it's his mentality that separates him from other guards.

Beverley recently talked about that defensive approach that he has on WCCO Radio, and as the Timberwolves guard noted, it all boils down to one thing: touching people. It's this mentality that annoys and makes his targets uncomfortable, which is something he is proud to do.

“People don't like to be touched and I like touching a lot of people,” Beverley said of his defense.

Patrick Beverley certainly couldn't have said it any better, though. It perfectly explains how he defends and make life hard for his opponents, even if it means getting called for fouls more often than not. It's that physicality and desire to stop his foe that allows him to go under their skins and affect them mentally.

Of course it doesn't always work and some are already used to his attitude. However, the Timberwolves will certainly appreciate that body of work, especially since it's an area that their young core is lacking.

After finally finding a home in Minnesota, fans can expect Pat Bev to bring that same energy he gave night in and night out when he was with the Los Angeles Clippers. Whether it can help the Timberwolves take the next step in their development remains to be seen, but it sure looks like the team can expect the veteran to keep doing what he does best.
