The Tennessee Titans just lost their star wide receiver in AJ Brown and he isn't shy in putting the blame on them.

The Philadelphia Eagles swooped in during the NFL Draft and locked in a trade for the Titans wideout. Brown was candid after the deal was consummated that he wasn't overtly trying to skip town. He was fine staying in Tennessee had the money not been as far off as it was.

Via ESPN:

“This wasn't my fault. I wanted to stay, but the deal they offered was a low offer. The deal they offered wasn't even $20 million a year,” Brown said of the Titans' contract offer

“I would have stayed if they offered me $22 million,” he continued.

Upon getting traded to the Eagles, Brown immediately secured a four-year, $100 million extension that got him the annual salary that he wanted. Titans GM Jon Robinson spoke out on not being able to come to turns with AJ Brown.

“The trade thing kind of manifested itself from them, and we really started working on that over the last 18, 20 hours,” Robinson said. “I dealt with [Brown's agent], went back and forth really over the last two to three weeks and just realized that the gap was really too far for us to bridge.”

The Titans receiving corps looked formidable last season with AJ Brown and Julio Jones catching passes. But now with neither of them on the roster, the passing game is going to look a lot different in Tennessee.
