The Tennessee Titans have quickly reinvented themselves. Mike Vrabel, Ryan Tannehill, and Derrick Henry were the identity for the Titans for the last several years. However, the team parted with all three this offseason. New head coach Brian Callahan and second-year QB Will Levis will be the new foundation for the Titans. Depending on who you ask, Treylon Burks will be a big part of the Tennessee's future too.

Calvin Ridley believes that Burks is still a little raw, but that he has sky-high potential in the NFL. He even compared him to some of the best X receivers in NFL history.

“What I see, he's like Julio (Jones), A.J. Brown, he's like T.O. (Terrell Owens),” Ridley said. “Dude that big (and) that fast, man? He's a stud, man. You don't have to worry about him.”

Burks admits that he's excited about the additions the Titans have made to the wide receiver room over the past two years.

“Yeah, 100 percent, but it's fun, just going out there, seeing what they bring to the table and then me bringing my A-game to the table,” Burks said, via Easton Freeze. “So we just go out there and compete together and have fun.”

Earlier in May, Callahan said Burks is “gonna play everything” in the Titans' offense. Those comments drew some skepticism after the Titans added Tyler Boyd shortly thereafter.

However, it does appears to be the perfect marriage. Burks claims that he likes his fit in Callahan's offense, comparing it in some ways to the system he played in at Arkansas.

“It's fun, fast, where I'm used to, similar to what I did in college,” he said. “So just study it, get better at it and have fun with it.”

Ridley genuinely believes Burks could have a breakout season once the mental element of his game catches up to his physical talent.

“He's just gotta learn how to slow the game down,” Ridley said, “and he'll be alright.”

Will Levis still has a chip on his shoulder after 2023 Draft snub

The Titans are poised to compete in the AFC South in 2024. Their hopes will rest squarely on Will Levis' shoulders.

Levis admits that he still feels like he has a chip on those shoulders after the 2023 NFL Draft.

“It definitely leaves a little bit of a chip on my shoulder and makes me want to go out there and work and keep showing people that teams might have made a mistake by not taking me,” Levis said, via Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. “Hopefully I’m that guy that they talk about that did slip, and I can be that example for other kids that are in that same position in the green room like me. … I’m trying to prove this organization right.”

Levis was mocked to go somewhere in the middle or late first round, but wasn't selected until the beginning of day two.

The fall cost him a lot of money and no doubt bruised his ego. However, Levis should feel confident about his situation with the Titans.

Levis took over the starting job in year one, unseating veteran Ryan Tannehill. He entered the NFL with a bang, leading the Titans to a 28-23 victory over the Falcons in his debut. Levis threw for four TDs in that game and gave Titans fans a glimpse of what he could become.

Tennessee has done enough to surround Levis with enough talent in 2024. He just needs to deliver on the QB that everyone knows he can be.
