There has been quite a bit of chatter about Tom Brady potentially heading to the Tennessee Titans in free agency this offseason, and former Titans running back Chris Johnson is thrilled about the possibility.

“First of all, (Ryan) Tannehill came in and did a great job, but everybody knows Tom is the GOAT,” Johnson told TMZ Sports. “If we can get Tom over there and play a couple of years before he retires, you know I definitely wouldn't be against that. … With that running game and adding Tom Brady, plus the receivers we've already got, it would be hard to stop us.”

Johnson added that while he doesn't know how serious the Brady-to-Tennessee rumors are, he says he might have to give Brady a call to try and convince him to join the Titans.

Could Tennessee really pry Brady away from the New England Patriots?

Of all of the interested teams, the Titans certainly represent one of the Patriots' biggest threats. As Johnson mentioned, there is already some fine talent on this football team, ranging from Derrick Henry to the young receivers to the defense.

Ironically enough, Tennessee beat Brady and the Patriots in the playoffs this past year, knocking them out in the Wild Card round and sending them to their earliest postseason exit since the 2009-10 campaign.

Of course, most of what we are hearing right now is just educated conjecture. And we don't really know for sure what Brady is thinking or what he wants. But there does seem to be a real possibility that he leaves New England, and that is something that most people would not have been able to fathom at the beginning of 2019.
