Tennessee Titans running back Dion Lewis was extra motivated to beat the New England Patriots, and he accomplished his goal this week. Lewis spent his best NFL season with the Patriots during their 2017-18 campaign. New England felt Lewis wasn't the kind of player they would make a priority, and he took offense to this.

“Hell yeah it’s personal,” Lewis told NFL Network after the game. “That’s what happens when you go cheap. You get your ass kicked.”

The Patriots have dropped to 7-3, but still remain atop the AFC East. The Titans had a rough start, but their 34-10 victory over New England gave them their second consecutive win. Tennessee only trails the Houston Texans in the AFC South, so they're still in the playoff picture. Dion Lewis now plays for a team that boasts one of the NFL's best defenses, and he's happy with his decision to come down South.

“I’m happy with the decision, and this is the decision I would’ve made even if they did offer,” Lewis told the Boston Globe. “If they wanted me, they could’ve had me. But obviously, they didn’t want me, they didn’t think I was good enough to be there. I just had to move on and do what’s best for me.”

Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler is another player that exacted revenge upon the Patriots. It's rare for New England to lose so big this late in the season, so this win will only help Tennessee's confidence grow. As the regular season comes to a close, they'll look to snag challenge the Indianapolis Colts and Texans in a tight race for the division title.
