It has been several months since Super Bowl 52 that saw much fall out from New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick making the decision to bench former Pro Bowl cornerback Malcolm Butler who is now with the Tennessee Titans.
These questions have continued to linger around Butler in the months that have followed that he has grown to the point where he is simply tired of the constant chatter that situation had created, according to Erik Bacharach of The Tennessean.
Butler has moved on from the incident now that he has signed a five-year, $61 million deal to join the Titans this offseason. This is a chapter of his career that clearly wants to put behind him even he doesn't have a clear answer as to why transpire in the manner that they did on the grandest stage.
It doesn't look like there will be a definitive answer regarding the situation from Belichick as he recently shut down any inquiry about something that occurred last season. The decision by Belichick not to give clarity to the entire matter has only made a lingering topic of discussion as there was no precursor as to why he went with that decision.
The 28-year-old is focused on this next chapter of his career where he could re-establish himself as one of the top young players at his position a part of a promising secondary group. This is a fresh opportunity get back on track after a troubling ending his time with the Patriots.
