Although training camp may still around the corner, it seems quarterback Marcus Mariota has already gotten a head start on getting to work.

The players still have two weeks before they must report to training camp in Tennessee. According to Jim Wyatt of the team's official website, Mariota has been working out with his receiving corps in Los Angeles.

Mariota and several of his receivers threw passes on a college football field in the Los Angeles area on Thursday, and they’re planning to work out again today on the field and in the weight room.

It is encouraging to see that Mariota is not wasting any time getting his rapport going with the wideouts. The Titans have high hopes for the upcoming 2019 NFL season and will need to gain every advantage they can if they hope to take things to the next level.

Among the wide receivers that have joined Mariota in Los Angeles are Tajae Sharpe, Taywan Taylor, Cameron Batson, and A.J. Brown. Reports suggest that more could be on their way in the coming days. It is safe to assume that Mariota is hoping his top two options in Corey Davis and Adam Humphries are able to make the trip.

There is no question that the Titans' passing game has struggled in recent years. While they may plan to rely heavily on their backfield duo of Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis, Tennessee will need to make sure it has a solid passing game to complement their run game. The onus will fall on Mariota to put it together and stay healthy.
