The Tennessee Titans came away with a huge 20-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night, signaling to the rest of the NFL that they are still a force to be reckoned with. Their head coach, Mike Vrabel sure thought so and he let the world know it during his postgame press conference with the following four words:

“We're not dead yet” – Mike Vrabel

While many teams around the league may have counted the Titans out when they lost superstar running back Derrick Henry for the season and then went into a mini-tailspin. Since Henry went down, the Titans were just 1-3 and the only win was against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, with this huge win over the 49ers, the Titans have suddenly vaulted themselves to the second seed in the AFC and within a half-game of clinching the AFC South division crown.

Much of today's win can be credited to the return of superstar wide receiver AJ Brown. In his first game back after a three-game absence due to a scary chest injury, Brown set a new career-high with eleven catches en route to 141 receiving yards and a touchdown. The Titans entered the half trailing 10-0, but an added emphasis on getting Brown the ball changed the entire dynamic of the game.

A little bit of credit can also be given to the Titans defense for holding a rolling 49ers offense to just 17 points. San Francisco entered the game averaging over 27 points per game over the past eight weeks.
