Day 2 of free agency may not have been as action-packed as opening day but there have still been a number of significant signings throughout the league. For their part, the Tennessee Titans have decided to pounce on Janoris Jenkins after the cornerback was released by the New Orleans Saints. This comes in the wake of the Titans opting to part ways with Adoree' Jackson.

This report comes via multiple sources:

The details of Jenkins' new deal with the Titans have yet to be revealed, so we currently do not know how much money Tennessee and Jenkins have agreed on. The length of the contract is also currently unknown, but we're thinking that this has to be nothing more than a short-term deal.

Tennessee has signed Jenkins as a replacement for the recently-departed Adoree' Jackson. The Titans' decision to release Jackson had a bit of shock value to it, considering how the 25-year-old CB appeared to have established a role for himself on the squad for 2021. This clearly was not the case, and Tennessee has decided to replace Jackson with Jenkins for presumably less money.

The Titans have been quite active in the market of late. Aside from Jackson, the team also released tackle Dennis Kelly. These two moves reportedly cleared as much as $17 million of cap room for the Titans as the team looks to create as much cap maneuverability as they possibly can. They will need to find a replacement for Kelly, though, and this could come in the form of another free agent signing in the coming days.
