Minnesota Timberwolves big man Nikola Pekovic will be sidelined in the team's upcoming training camp.
After being sidelined last season playing only 12 games, and only 31 games the previous season, his foot issues are still lingering.
The Wolves have assembled plenty of young talent and don't seem to be affected negatively with Pekovic's absence, but big man Kevin Garnett is working on a buyout to leave the team soon, which will leave the team with four big men to hold down the middle.
Coach Tom Thibodeau isn't worried, and also doesn't sound as if he is looking for anything from Pekovic in the future.

Foot injuries have sidelined and ended the careers of many big men and time is running out in Minnesota.
Pekovic is owed $23.7 million in the next two seasons, but there is a chance he may not play much at all, if ever again on this team.
Without making a full recovery, his chances of getting minutes on the current roster would be slim and that would constitute a buyout or a trade.
